I would rather use the punisher logo
Hey! Could i use a clothes iron instead ? Just starting out. Thanks! Ps. Great video🔥
I have not received any answer about how to do a picture from a book to be put on a t-shirt or transfer paper can you please reply back soon thank you
Hi Patricia! You can turn a picture from a book into a t-shirt in a few steps. First, you'll need to scan the photo to convert it to a digital file. From there, upload the image into the Easy View Online Designer at transferexpress.com, size it to the size you want printed, select UltraColor Max Direct To Film Transfers (no minimum quantity) and order. Then, heat transfers will arrive to your door ready to press! This short video covers how to order with uploaded artwork and might help too: ua-cam.com/video/5gwcTH7BFyY/v-deo.html
What heating press are you using in the video?
Great question Dewann, we're using the Hotronix Auto Open Clam Heat Press (16 x 20" Size) for this video. You can learn more about this press (spoiler alert: it's one of our favorites) here: www.transferexpress.com/heat-presses/hotronix-auto-clam-heat-press
@@transferexpress Thank you so much! 😊
Absolutely, we're always happy to help out! While being on the lower-end price-wise of Hotronix Heat Presses the Auto Open Clam is full featured with reliable pressure readouts, accurate temperature and a 2 stage timer for pre-pressing garments or two-step applications. Plus the ability to use any optional interchangeable platens really boosts your efficiency when using this press too! The exclusive Tag Along HP Platen featured in this video makes relabeling a breeze: ua-cam.com/video/vQaCwpaCQGw/v-deo.html If you have any questions at all, we're always here for you.
great tips, thank you
Thanks! We're always happy to help!
Didn't know you could screen print transfers. That's amazing😍
Absolutely! Screen Print Transfers like our Goof Proof Heat Transfers use real plastisol ink so the end result looks and feels just like a traditional screen print on apparel, but we handle the screens, inks and cleanup so you can apply with just a heat press in a 4-6 second press. While it does kind of feel like magic, you've got to try 'em! We'd love to send you samples: www.transferexpress.com/marketing-tools/free-samples
So glad I found your videos!!! Im a beginner with heat pressing! My son has started a running business and is printing shirts as part of his "Team". We are using polyester shirts with sublimation transfers. What Im running into is black specks appearing after we press...the only color in the print is pink....these black specks do not come out of the shirt. Any ideas?
Hi Nanette, we're always happy to help out in anyway we can! While we're not experts with sublimation transfers, it sounds like it may be a printer problem- either with the printheads themselves, excess moisture in the process or excess ink on the rollers that is transferring to the carrier. Without seeing the end results it's hard to tell for sure. Are you buying your sublimation transfers or printing them yourself? Are the black specks visible on the carrier before printing? They may be very small. (This would point to the printer issues).
@@transferexpress thanks for responding! Nothing black is visible on the sublimation. We purchase the sheets.
I don't usually comment on videos.. But transfer express never lets me down and this has my creative mind going!!!
Thanks James! We're so happy we could help out and help inspire your creativity, we'll keep it up!
Nice having you Ladies today.. Am Benjamin from Nigeria. Watching at 10pm June 28 2024. MAXIMILIAN CLOTHING Co is my brand. Although it's very new.
Great video, love the step by step breakdown!
Thanks Tonya! What are most excited to try in your marketing?
What’s your preferred file type if I’m exporting raster work? Simple flats nothing crazy. Would png work just fine or would you rather get a pdf file?
Great question Rodrigo! While pretty much any file type works perfectly fine, PDF is preferred.
Hi I’m working on a polyester pique and open polyester mesh with reflective silver. It’s peeling off and I used the curry heat transfer at 315. What am I doing wrong. Is it the paper?
Howdy! We know how frustrating these application issues are, and we'd love to be able to help out, we need just a few more pieces of information to ensure accurate advice. I don't think the mesh polyester should be an issue, but knowing what specific blank garment you are printing on could help too. Things we'll need to know: 1. What specific heat transfer are you using? Is it a screen printed transfer or HTV? What brand? 2. With temp at 315, what time and pressure settings are you using? 3. What heat press are you using?
What is the best option for soft hand full color with no outline? I recently got some samples of DTF transfers from you guys but it has a very heavy paper feel. I prefer Goof Proof but looking for best option with full color. Any help is appreciated!
Hey Amelio, did you try our UltraColor Max transfers? They're one of the lightest feel DTF transfers on the market. Large, full ink coverage areas in your designs can be felt on the garment utilizing just about any print method except sublimation. We've got some great tips for DTF in this video here: ua-cam.com/video/NkL4md46FtE/v-deo.html
Sir,what is your email address?I would like to send our catalogue of DTF PET films for your reference. We are manufacturer in China ❤
Sorry, we use our own proprietary formulas for inks and film to ensure consistent quality with the unreliable supply chains that are a challenge in the DTF printing industry. We ensure our customers only receive a quality product that they can count on being consistent in application and print quality from order to order. We appreciate the offer though.

Thanks for this! By far the best halftone instruction. Question, will it last longer like the standard solid print?
Thank you for the kind words, we're so happy we could help out! Dave spent a lot of time testing different halftone methods and settings along with the wash testing with our Research and Development department for the minimum line requirements to ensure quality results before filming this video. With the dots set to the minimum size mentioned in the video (0.018") you should have the exact same durability as a solid print.
Do the transfer work with other heat presses other than hot tronics.
Absolutely! While Hotronix Heat Presses are definitely our favorite to use, you can use any heat press with adjustable pressure to apply our heat transfers. We'd love to send you free samples to try on your press, we'll even cover shipping: www.transferexpress.com/marketing-tools/free-samples

Hello
Hi There! Thanks for tuning in. Are you using any AI art programs currently?
@@transferexpress no not really it takes the creativity out of doing something yourself.
Can you use the transfers on 100% Cotton, or does it only adhere well with fabrics that have a percentage of synthetic material? Can you use a regular iron instead of a heat press?
Yes, our goof proof screen printed transfers can apply to cotton, polyester & cotton/poly blended shirts on any fabric color. Learn more and get free samples here: www.transferexpress.com/heat-applied-transfers/goof-proof-screen-printed-transfers For best results, we don’t recommend applying with an iron. You’ll need a heat press to be able to achieve the accurate temperature, time and pressure settings for a professional printed result.
Thank you ❤
Thank you Dave. You inspire me.
Thanks for the kind words Kurt! We're always happy to help
Can people just order unprinted transfer sheets
While we do have plain paper cover sheets that we used in this video available ( www.transferexpress.com/heat-press-accessories/cover-sheets ) We do not currently sell unprinted carrier paper.

Dropping key knowledge as always! 🙌🏾
Thanks for the kinds words Lou, we're happy to help in anyway we can!
@@transferexpress Of course! I’ve learned so much from this channel and will continue to learn more, so thanks for sharing.
Could you recommend a printer, ink jet or sublimation? Which is better? I have a cricut and want to take my business further so dont mind an investment. Id lobe some recommendations for types or models od printers. Thanks
Fantastic question! To help out the best, we would need to know a little bit more about what you're looking to achieve in the next step of your business. Do you need immediate turnaround on printing projects? Is quality important to your customers? What are the typical quantities you're producing? Do you already have a heat press? We've seen many small and at-home businesses take on too much financial risk with at-home printers and setups that are a challenge to maintain and struggle to produce professional quality results. While sublimation printers are some of the most affordable, you're limited to only polyester garments and light colored fabrics. Direct To Garment printers are limited to 100% cotton and can be expensive to maintain. Of course with at-home DTF printers you have the versatility of printing on any fabric or color but lower cost machines struggle with quality that may lose customers and inconsistent supply chains, as well as maintenance issues similar to DTG printers. Without proper ventilation and exhaust systems you may be introducing harmful chemicals to your workspace. The white toner printers have a time consuming process that is not the best fit for higher-quantity work and get costly with supplies and materials. While still utilizing your cricut and HTV for smaller jobs you can purchase custom transfers in a variety of finishes or features (screen print / direct to film / etc) which can give you the flexibility for any quantity, any fabric, any finish while maximizing your profitability and financial risk. We see most decorators find success with this method expanding from a hobby or limited in-house capabilities that match the quality of what the larger, national print shops are offering. A great example is this video which would describe the process to expand your capabilities to offer something like screen printed finishes with the equipment you already have and maximize your profit while still operating on a very lean business model: ua-cam.com/video/YPbJQa03a9o/v-deo.html You can also learn more about some of the heat transfer types you can utilize (and get free samples) just by creating an account here: www.transferexpress.com/marketing-tools/free-samples
Im not seeing the what to use when chart pdf? Love the video very helpful
Thanks Janice! We totally missed getting the link in the description, here it is: www.transferexpress.com/choose-heat-transfer-type
So is that an actual mousepad? Like a normal computer mouse mousepad?
Yep! It’s a blank mousepad made for sublimation- with the polyester layer on top. Try to avoid any colored or printed mousepads as the inks may transfer to your garment under heat and pressure. We have blanks available for $3 each here: www.transferexpress.com/heat-press-accessories/mouse-pads
@@transferexpress Thank you! That's an awesome idea!
Is this the type of shirt that the design feels like a thick plastic? I ordered some test shirts for my business from a local company and they were horrible. Looking for alternative ways to make my own shirts
Not at all! Our goof proof screen printed transfers feel like a soft-hand screen printed shirt. While you can feel the ink, it’s matte, smooth and flexible and sits down into the fibers of the shirt (so you’ll see the texture of the fabric in the print) We’d love for you to see it in real life: You can request free sample to try yourself at www.transferexpress.com/marketing-tools/free-samples
hello, i tried register in your site, but only appears for usa and canada, people from other countrys cant?
Unfortunately we’re currently only shipping to the US, Canada and select Caribbean islands. What country are you in? We have STAHLS locations across the globe that can likely help with the same services and products we have available
@@transferexpress Hello, thank you for replying to my message, I'm in Portugal, but I also wanted to use your website to create drawings, but I can't register, unfortunately, I hope that one day you can also send them to Europe
I think the maths is wrong on the T-shirt pricing. It should be 396.40 not 369.40
Great catch, it was actually just a typo when we were filming the video, the per piece rate is correct at $8.81 ($396/ 45) buuuut, that’s why you double check your math to ensure you’re profiting!
Love your videos, I have learned so much and is always a joy seen you teach us with such a passion. ❤ thanks!
Thank you for the kind words Luis! We’re always happy to help in any way we can!

Howdy!
Heyy…i’m really interested about the hot split retro transfers…do u ship to mumbai, india??
Our hot split transfers are pretty nifty, however we only ship to the US, Canada and select Caribbean islands. Check out stahlsasia.com for decorating solutions in India!
Hey guys, new to dtf/dtg / and so on, being screen-printer for more than 40 years. To the question if I see a difference on the final print dtf vs set ; I do see a difference on the fine detail but I didn't know which one is the dtf >> but for certain the one on the left side was much better detail. Can you answer what process was used for the design on the left side, which again had the better detail? I'm referring to the images on the minute 9:30ish
That comparison at 9:30 in this video the DTF print is on the left. It’s slightly clearer as the ink doesn’t spread when pressed like how Screen Printed Transfers do. While it is minimal, those very small logos and type are clearer. Screen print transfers to sit down in the fibers of the shirt more (like traditional screen printing) so the texture of the shirt can be seen as well. We have all of the minimum like requirements as well as negative space (show through) minimums here: www.transferexpress.com/videos/line-thickness-tool-and-print-minimums
Thanks for this video
Absolutely! We’re so happy we could help out!
great video thank you! but do you have links for t-shirt with the same quality of the third one you tried on but with a removable tag pls?
Unfortunately, all of the comfort colors and similar garments (like the Port & Company PC099) that are readily available are only sold with the sewn in labels.
perfect presentation. why is it not possible to register from the Netherlands?????
We sure do appreciate the kind words, and we're always happy to help out apparel decorators in any way we can! Unfortunately, currently we don't ship outside the US, Canada and select Caribbean Islands- BUT, we do have some STAHLS' divisions in Europe ( stahlseurope.com/ )and The UK ( www.stahls.co.uk/ ) with very similar heat transfers and the identical equipment we have here at STAHLS' Transfer Express.
#Replay
What’s the make and model of that heat press that allows you to transfer front and label at the same time???
Great question! The Tag Along HP Platen is one of the optional quick change platens available for Hotronix Heat Presses. It fits any full size (16 x 20") Hotronix Heat Press manufactured after 2014 (when the quick change system was introduced) You can learn more how it's used in this video: ua-cam.com/video/vQaCwpaCQGw/v-deo.htmlsi=wVrzZlPjdVldyg0t or learn more on our website: www.transferexpress.com/heat-press-accessories/tag-along-hp
Dave, do you have a video on how to go about using permanent cut vinyl as part of the process please for short runs, what's a short run to you and how many prints consist a short run please? Perhaps, if you don't have such a video, you might consider doing one as it seems a good way to mix with transfers. If you got this far, thanks for reading.
Fantastic question! Depending on the colors in the design, I typically will reserve HTV for one-offs or for quantities 12 and under with single color, simple artwork (although I’ve even used screen printed transfers for orders as low as 6 (intricate and large prints with a left chest print on the same gang sheet) With the affordability of custom DTF transfers (outside of the colors of vinyl you don’t have stocked) I typically will use them even for those low quantity orders. Of course for specialty fabrics (nylon, etc) HTV may be a better choice. For many, it comes down to time, if you have the time to weed and cut, 100% maximize the profit on the order with HTV! Especially if you already have the equipment. If you’re pressed on the hours in your day, simplify with screen print transfers (perfect for when a client wants that plastisol print look & feel) or DTF.
Do I need to remove background if only one color?
Great question! If you're ordering a screen printed transfer and have it selected as 1 color of ink, our team will remove the background for you. For ordering UltraColor Max Direct To Film Transfers we require the files to be print ready, so the background will need to be removed.
Sorry if i missed it. What is the size of the design? Thanks!
Great Question! This print ended up being 12.2" wide by 15" - While we didn't mention it, you can see the sizing details noted in the left hand side during that proofing step before ordering. Any print size 11" or larger will look great on any adult size t-shirt.
Thanks for the info now i can make my own birthday shirt
Absolutely! We're always happy to help out 😁
Looks like a great series, sadly Im in the UK
Thanks, we're always happy to help in any way we can, Have you checked out stahls.co.uk? You'll find many of the same decorating solutions and heat presses that you'll find with us!
I subscribed - based on this video and the answer to my question on How to apply Goof Proof" - naive question, if waterbased SP is the sftst feel, is there a waterbasedSP transfer please?
While water based screen printing ink does give you the softest hand feel you may be surprised by the hand feel of screen printed transfers like these goof proof transfers or the screen printed transfers from stahls.co.uk. We have offered water-based transfers in the past, and they're fantastic, however they are quite a bit more cost than typical screen printing. The big benefit of waterbased transfers is the adhesives to print on the tricky synthetic fabrics like spandex and nylon
Will this also work on fitted table cloth?
Absolutely! Most fitted table cloths are 100% polyester. In low quantities or large images (up to 22 x 24"), UltraColor Max Direct to film transfers will give you the best result and the lowest print cost. Win win!
